At the prayags it is very auspicious to have a dip or wash. With the help of my passengers holding my hands I walked down and had a wash at each prayag which is the confluence of rivers coming down from Badrinath and Kedarnath.

Bhavishya Badri
It is commonly believed that in the course of centuries, the road from Joshimath to Badrinath will be blocked. This will happen because the two hills flanking Badrinath will become joined. Then the temples at Bhavishya Badri, one of the Panch Badri's are worshipped. The other 4 Badri's are Vishal Badri [Badrinath], Yoga Badri [Pandukeshwar], Adi Badri and Vridha Badri [at Animath, near Joshimath].
