When the child Hemant and his brother Gautam was 10 years old we came to thank the Lord Pashupathi Nath and performed the pooja. Children need attraction so the pilgrimage had to have the thrill of adventure so we went to Pokhara and also took the city excursions available.

Visit the Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter, Mahadev and Parvati Temple and other temples. Then visit Patan, the old Newar City visiting Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, The sky piercing temple of Teleju, the statue of Yogendra Malla, temples, etc. Also visit Swayambhunath, the 2000 years old site with 5 dhyani Buddha's enshrined at the base of the Stupa.

POKHARA
Visit this beautiful valley to see its natural splendor. POKHARA - is wide and flat - enormous sunlit playground covered by hills, lake forests, rivers, waterfalls, caves and fields. In Pokhara, nature and culture blend beautifully to present a panorama unparalleled any-where else. 200 Km. west of Kathmandu or 200 Km north of Lumbini offers the famous Phewatal, boating, fishing and much more. Its lovely Lakes Phewa, Begnas, and Rupa enhance the beauty of the valley, which have their source in the glacial region of the Annapurna Range of the Himalayas. Pokhara's numerous lakes, known as 'tal' in Nepali offer fishing, boating and swimming.

Pokhara is the place of remarkable natural beauty, The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fish-tailed summit of Machhapuchhre rising behind it create an ambiance of peace and magic, Pokhara is home to thick forest, gushing rivers, emerald lakes, and the world famous views of the Hi-malaya.

The second largest lake in the kingdom, is the center of all attraction in Pokhara.Here, one can sail or row a hired boat across to the water or visit the island temple in the middle. The eastern shore popularly known as Lakeside or Baidam, is the favorite home base for travelers and is where most of the hotels, restaurant, and handicraft shops are located.

Barahi Temple
This temple is the most important monument in Pokhara.Built almost in the center of the Phewa Lake ,this-storied pagoda is dedicated to the boar manifestation of Ajima, the protectress deity representing the female force shakti.

Seti Gandaki
Flowing right through the city, the boisterous river runs completely underground at places. Amazingly, at certain points the rivers appears hardly two meters wide but its depth is quite beyond imagination-over 20 meter. Mahendra put a small bridge provides a perfect view of the rivers dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by its powerful flow.

Devins Fall
Devin's fall is a lovely waterfall lying about two-km of southwest of Pokhara airport on the siddhartha highway. Locally known as the Patale Chhango (Hell's Fall). It was named to Davin's fall, a trekker who was mysteriously disappeared down into an underground passage beneath the fall.
