I had been to Kodai basically to visit our Guru - Sri Sathya Sai Baba's ashram as He spents the month of April there in the summers. I took a flight to Coimbatore and from there a taxi to Kodai - this was around 37 years age.

Coimbatore is known as the Manchester of the South. It is famous for its mills and textile industry.

PLACES OF INTEREST

Bhavani Sagar: It is world's largest multi purpose dam. One can enjoy boating and fishing in the reservoir. It is about 70 km from Coimbatore.

Anamalais: The thick jungles of the rocky range are being converted into the finest Wildlife Sanctuary in the country.

Perur: This temple is noted for its beautiful sculptures.

Maruthamalai: It is a 12th century Murugan Temple.

Thirumoorthy temples: There is a stream and waterfalls here.

Siruvani waterfalls and dam

Avinashi: It is the biggest 12th century Avinashi Lingeswarar temple.
