Dhungri Temple
The
Dhungri or Hadimba Temple is a four storey wooden building in
the middle of a lovely, forested park. Erected in 1553, the temple
is dedicated to goddess Hadimba and has intricate wooden carvings
of dancers and characters from various Hindu stories; horns of
bulls and other animals beautifying the walls. There is a major
festival in the temple premises every May.
Old Manali
The small Manu Maharishi Temple is where Manu meditated after
he arrived in the area. Follow the road to the left at the top
of the Mall. Old Manali village lies across the bridge and up
the left-hand road.
Vashisht
Vashisht is a lovely little village, about 4 km from The Mall.
The temple preserves several temples in the village dedicated
to the sage Vashisht and the Lord Rama. The common public baths
(separate areas for men and women) in Vashisht village are free.
NEHRU KUND
5kms on the National Highway to Leh, a natural spring of cold
water named after Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, who used to drink water
from this spring during his stay in Manali. This spring is believed
to originate from the Bhirgu Lake situated high - up in the mountains.
SOLANG VALLEY
13kms is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund.
Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow-capped mountains
and peaks.

ROTHANG PASS
51kms from Manali, on highway to Leh. It offers a panoramic and
spectacular Mountain View. The pass is open from June to October.
It is a gateway to Lahaul, Spiti, and Leh valley. There are beautiful
spots of glaciers, peaks and river flowing down in the Lahaul
valley.
ARJUN GUFA
4 kms from Manali towards Naggar, the cave is situated near Prini
village 1 km above the road where Arjun had meditated.
JAGATSUKH
6kms from Manali located on the left bank on Beas on the road
to Naggar. The place is famous for very old temples of Shiva and
Sandya Gayatri in Shikara style.
